The total volume of water received by the various dams in this river basin after the recent rainfall (from August 23 to September 12 of this year) is estimated at 89.9 million cubic meters.
According to data obtained by the Maghreb Arab Press from the Ker-Ziz-Griss Water Basin Agency, the volume of water reserves in the Hassan Dakhli Dam reservoir is 110.8 million cubic meters, with a filling rate of 35.46 percent, followed by the Qudsa Dam with a reservoir of 59.07 million cubic meters (26.3 million cubic meters), the Todgha Dam with 3.6 million cubic meters (10.68 percent) and the Timqit Dam with 3.1 million cubic meters with a filling rate of 22.6 percent.
According to the same source, significant quantities of water were diverted, thanks to the Moulay-Ibrahim diversion dam located along Wadi Gharis, towards the Tafilalet plain, indicating that these rains will contribute to strengthening the water beds and improving water reserves and the drainage of the sources.
On the other hand, the Ker-Zez-Gris Basin Agency warned that despite the amounts of rain recorded in recent days, citizens are called upon to rationalize water consumption and avoid wasting it.
