Real Madrid suspends concerts at Santiago Bernabeu stadium following complaints from neighbours

Real Madrid has decided to “temporarily reschedule” all upcoming concerts at its Santiago Bernabéu stadium, in line with municipal guidelines, as part of its fight against noise pollution, it announced in a statement on Friday.

The stadium began hosting concerts again this year, including those by Taylor Swift and Karol J, after completing a major renovation that took several years and included the installation of a retractable roof and pitch.

But residents said the stadium was not properly soundproofed and its powerful new speakers did not comply with Madrid municipal regulations.

The Royal Club said in its statement: “Real Madrid announces that it has decided to temporarily postpone events and parties at the Santiago Bernabéu.”

He added: “This decision is part of a series of measures taken by the club to ensure strict compliance with municipal regulations in force during concerts.”
