The report on the execution of the three-year budget and the macroeconomic framework accompanying the draft finance law for next year indicates that the year 2025 will see the implementation of many major customs reforms, including the creation of a mechanism for marking petroleum products.
The report published on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Finance explains that this mechanism, which will be developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, aims to address tax risks related to fuel and prevent fraud in this sector.
The 2025 finance bill also intends to launch a carbon tax in order to adapt taxation to climate issues, by adopting green taxation.
Furthermore, the coming year will see the continued implementation of the regulatory framework for the precious metals refining profession in order to ensure the traceability of operations within the precious metals product value chain.
This objective will be achieved within the framework of the adaptation of the regulatory framework linked to precious stones and to qualifying professions linked to the guarantee of precious metals.
The report also mentions the implementation of the reform of the public debt recovery code in 2025, in coordination with the General Treasury of the Kingdom.
This reform will include certain articles relating to recovery costs in order to improve the efficiency of the recovery of public debts.
