Alongside the rise in red meat prices, the government continues to import cows for slaughter and fattening, in order to ensure price stability and protect domestic production.
In this regard, the port of Jorf Lasfar in El Jadida received, on Tuesday evening, a new shipment of calves imported from France.
According to a well-informed source, the new cargo included more than 1,300 heads, coming from the port of Marseille on board the Khalsa ship.
The calves, imported by suppliers from El Jadida and Ouarzazate, belong to various breeds, including “Holstein” and “Limousin”.
