The Unification and Reform Movement denounced the continued francisation of the government’s educational policy in the absence of a clear and agreed linguistic architecture, and in total disregard of calls to give priority to the official languages Arabic and Amazigh.
The movement affirmed in a statement published yesterday Saturday at the end of the ordinary meeting of its executive bureau that no reform can be achieved without the constitutional constants of the country, the societal consensus on all its fundamental issues and the independence of the national decision-making process instead of submitting to external pressures.
The executive board of the movement reviewed the various circumstances related to entering school and university, and recalled the problems and disruptions observed last season that affected the progress of studies in public educational institutions, as well as the challenges facing the education system this season despite the efforts made and the slogans raised under the banner of reform, as well as the suffering of parents and guardians of students due to the wave of high prices that exhausted families.
The Executive Bureau of the Unification and Reform Movement appreciated a number of positive points, such as the results obtained in literacy projects, particularly in mosques, and the regulation of relations between the family and the school through the decree specifying the role of parents’ associations, published in July 2021, as well as the proposal to supervise the relationship of families with private sector institutions, as well as the search for an opening of educational institutions to their cultural, economic and social environment, through opening up to civil society associations to contribute to the revitalization of school life.
The office called for developing a clear strategy to eradicate illiteracy and adult education in the medium term, and strengthening cooperation between families and educational institutions by activating these texts for the benefit of learners and ensuring the governance, transparency and presence of educational institutions through their educational and management councils in the final decision on the opening of educational institutions On M.
