Raja has received a new decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) which obliges it to pay 350 million centimes in favour of the Congolese club TP Mazembe and the striker Ben Malango.
TP Mazembe appealed to CAS to challenge an earlier FIFA decision, which had ruled Malango’s transfer to Raja legally invalid because the player had a contract with the Congolese club.
Raja has just 45 days to pay this amount to avoid a new recruitment ban.
It is worth noting that Raja are speeding up the process of lifting the ban during the current summer transfer window as Greens officials have entered into negotiations with a number of former players to reach agreements with them to settle their differences amicably.
