By losing to their Iranian counterparts, the French team avoided facing the Moroccan team in the round of 16, where they will meet the Thai team, ranked second in group two.
On the other hand, the Iranian national team will face its Moroccan counterpart in the round of 16, after the Iranian national team ranked first in group six with 9 points.
