A robbery in a money transfer agency leads to the arrest of 3 people in Laâyoune.

The police forces of the Wilaya of Laâyoune, on the basis of precise information provided by the services of the General Directorate of National Territory Surveillance, managed to arrest three individuals aged 21 to 34, two of whom have previous judicial, suspected of having committed theft under the threat and use of violence inside a money transfer agency.

Police in the neighboring town of El Marsa have launched investigations following a robbery carried out with a knife at a money transfer agency in the same town. Technical and field investigations made it possible to determine the full identity of the suspects.

Security operations made it possible to apprehend two of the suspects at the entrance to Laâyoune, a few hours after the theft, while they were on board a light car used to commit the theft, in possession of part of the stolen amount. The third suspect was arrested the same day in Laâyoune, in possession of a sum of money suspected of being the proceeds of crime.

The three suspects were placed in police custody under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office to elucidate all the circumstances and motivations of these criminal acts.
