Heba Press – Oujda
The southeastern regions of the Kingdom have recently experienced strong thunderstorms with significant rainfall following warning bulletins from the National Directorate of Meteorology.
Among the regions that were covered by heavy rains was the Figig region with its vast expanses, where the valleys received large quantities of water that led to the destruction of some roads and technical installations.
In this regard, the Figuig-Bouarfa Regional Council has opened the road and river routes in the Mankoub area, the Errachidia road, the entrance to Bouarfa and several roundabouts such as that of Ouled Ibrahim, and has lifted the isolation of rural roads for nomadic Bedouins.
Continuous efforts are being made by the authorities to restore all damaged roads to their natural state. On the other hand, water beds and dams have recovered, such as the Al-Rikama Dam, the Al-Safasef Dam and the Kru Gorge, which is currently under completion, from large quantities of water that have strengthened their capacity.
