A real tragedy experienced by one of the families of the “Sidi Mohammed Lahmar” community in the Kenitra province, after the death of two children following exposure to a “rabid” bite.
The two children were attacked by a dog on the main street, which then required their emergency transfer to the Kenitra regional hospital, and they are in critical condition.
According to the same sources, the deterioration of the state of health of one of the two children required his emergency transfer to the Rabat University Hospital, while the second child was kept in the pediatric department of the regional hospital of Kénitra. .
The same sources confirmed that the child hospitalized at Kenitra hospital died, despite medical efforts, after showing symptoms of rabies, while the second child died the next day, following the same complications.
This incident caused general shock among the family members of the two victims and caused widespread indignation in the province of Kenitra, where several areas under its territorial influence are infested with stray dogs, which move freely, representing a great danger for citizens, both male and female.
It should be noted that the phenomenon of stray dogs is widespread in a number of Moroccan cities, where many activists and civil organizations have already warned of its dangers, demanding firm intervention from the authorities in order to reduce this phenomenon and put an end to its danger to citizens. .
