HIBAPRESS – Abdel Latif Barka
The Court of Appeal in Taroudant has entered a new phase with the commencement of receiving files and cases, as part of the operational launch of this judicial facility, which aims to strengthen the proximity of justice to the population of the province and the regions under its jurisdiction.
This phase follows the appointment of Professor Kamal Moharrer as the First President of the Court of Appeal in Taroudant, and Professor Mohamed Habchan as the King's Prosecutor General before it, within the judicial movement announced by the Supreme Judicial Council.
The new court is expected to contribute to reducing the pressure on the Courts of Appeal in the Souss-Massa region, bringing judicial services closer to litigants, and providing a specialized judicial space for processing appeal files and cases within its jurisdiction.
The beginning of receiving files is of special importance, as it represents a transition from the preparation and appointment stage to the actual operation stage, opening the door for litigants and professionals to benefit from the services of the Court of Appeal within the city of Taroudant.
The appointment of Kamal Moharrer to the position of First President came after he held the presidency of the Court of First Instance in Biougra, while Mohamed Habchan moved to the position of King's Prosecutor General in Taroudant, coming from the Court of First Instance in Fez.
This launch constitutes a new milestone in the judicial map of the region, amidst hopes that the establishment of the court will reflect positively on the speed of case processing, ease of access to justice, and the enhancement of the quality of judicial services provided to beneficiaries.
