Without a club since June after his departure from Sevilla FC Sergio Ramos, 38, is looking for a new challenge. As reported by AS, the Zamalek club in Egypt would be ready to align with the Spanish defender’s salary demands.
However, Brazil, MLS, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia… Many destinations have been offered to Sergio Ramos. If the path of San Diego FC, a newcomer to the American championship, seemed the most serious after a very good proposal, the negotiations seem to have stalled.
Like the rest of the offers received by the central defender. According to Estadio Deportivo and Brazilian media, Grêmio even had the idea of offering the Spaniard and his ex-PSG and Real Madrid teammate Keylor Navas, also free, except that the 500,000 euros monthly demanded by Ramos have put a brake on the negotiations of the Porto Alegre club. A new player has therefore emerged in the matter: Zamalek, a famous Egyptian club, which would be ready to align with the demands of the former Roja executive.
“Zamalek is a great club and deserves footballers like these. We would consider a deal with Ramos as something positive not only on a sporting level, but also on a marketing level. The player is free and it would be a great advantage to hire him. Any club in the world wants Ramos,” Ali Hisham Nasr, son of the club’s vice-president, told national television.
For his part, Omar Zaalouk, an intermediary for the Egyptian club, also raised the subject: “The talks are not over, they have simply been postponed until after the African Super Cup”.
The Spaniard’s entourage claims that no offer has been made from the club. A situation which should be quickly resolved since the final of the African Super Cup was played the day before yesterday on Friday and the answer would then be clear!
