Today, Friday October 4, 2024, Jawad Bahadji, President of the Meknes Community Council, presented his request for resignation from the presidency of the Council in a letter addressed to the agent of the Prefecture of Meknes, explaining the reasons for his request of resignation due to the conditions in which he has worked since his accession to the presidency, in addition to the fierce opposition of opponents of change and reforms, even before his accession to the presidency, since 2018.
The resignation letter indicated that President Bahadji had assumed the leadership of the group after the collective elections held in September 2021. He had worked tirelessly in the service of the residents of Meknes and in full coordination with the local authorities, but he is met with pockets of resistance. in town and friendly fire.
President Bahaji cited the reasons why he submitted his resignation to the lack of harmony, tensions, chaos of the situation and the absence of working conditions that prevented him, stressing that he will renounce the presidency to serve the public interest and avoid further divisions and mobilization led by those who have an interest in his resignation and for reasons clearly known to all residents of the city.
