The Netherlands reiterated, on Saturday, its firm commitment to the strategic partnership between the European Union (EU) and Morocco, following the decision of the Court of Justice of the EU (CJEU) on fisheries and agricultural agreements between the EU and the Kingdom.
“We reaffirm our strong commitment to the EU-Morocco strategic partnership,” indicated the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its X account, stressing that the Netherlands supports the joint declaration of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen and of the High Representative of the European Union, Josep Borrell, on the judgments of the CJEU.
In this joint statement, the two officials reaffirm the EU’s commitment to further preserving and strengthening its close relations with Morocco in all areas, in accordance with the principle “pacta sunt servanda”.
