A French nuclear attack submarine (SNA) will participate in the sequence planned for next week off the coast of Casablanca, focused on anti-submarine warfare. The only Moroccan multi-mission frigate (Fremm) could also be involved.
Every fall since 1994, the French and Moroccan navies interact in the Chebec naval exercise focused on maritime security and cooperation. The 2024 version will mark an additional notch in the development of their interoperability since on the French side, the French Navy has decided to mobilize for the first time one of its precious nuclear attack submarines – the name and type are no longer given.
