The entry zone to the town of Nador, specifically near the Sonasid Mosque in Silwan, is witnessing a widespread phenomenon of “mobility”, which is the gathering of large numbers of irregular migrants seeking to escape. infiltrate passing trucks, with the aim of reaching Europe via illegal routes. This phenomenon has become a source of concern and dissatisfaction among residents of the region, who see it as a serious threat to their security and safety.
Residents of Silwan and surrounding areas express their dissatisfaction with the aggressive behavior of some of these immigrants, who attack trucks to open their doors and sneak inside, posing a great danger to the safety of drivers, passers-by and families living in the area. Some residents say this phenomenon is getting worse day by day, forcing them to live in a state of constant anxiety and tension.
Furthermore, these developments raise questions about the role of local authorities in managing this worsening crisis. Residents are calling on the Silwan community and relevant security authorities to intervene quickly and decisively to reduce this phenomenon, which has become an increasing danger. Residents believe that the intervention of the authorities should include an increase in security patrols and a strengthening of control of entries and exits from the city, in addition to providing permanent solutions to these migrants in accordance with existing laws.
Some local activists stress the need for greater cooperation between the Silwan community, security agencies and immigration authorities, to develop a comprehensive plan to tackle the phenomenon from its roots. These activists emphasize that the solution must not be limited to security measures alone, but must include social and economic programs that help improve the living conditions of migrants and raise awareness of the dangers of irregular migration.
For its part, civil society calls for the need to organize awareness campaigns aimed at both residents of the region and immigrants, with the aim of strengthening understanding and cooperation to limit the damage resulting from this phenomenon. Some people interested in local affairs believe that activating the role of local associations in the fight against the phenomenon can contribute to finding constructive and lasting solutions.
In conclusion, the residents of Nador are still waiting for concrete actions from the competent authorities to deal with this crisis which is disrupting their daily lives, given the growing number of migrants and the deterioration of security and economic conditions in the region.
