A Jewish school in the Canadian city of Toronto was exposed to gunfire on Saturday for the second time in a few months, without causing any injuries, against a backdrop of escalation of anti-Semitic acts in Canada since the outbreak of the war in Gaza.
Agence France-Presse reported that shortly after 4 a.m., shots were fired “from a car” at the “Bais Chaya Mushka” girls’ primary school in the North York neighborhood of northern limit of the city.
A similar incident took place at the same building last May, while police are trying to determine whether the two incidents are linked.
There was no one inside the school and no injuries were reported, according to a municipal police spokeswoman.
The incident occurred as the Jewish community was celebrating Yom Kippur, Judaism’s holiest holiday.
