Swedish reports said on Monday that police had opened an investigation against the captain of the French national football team, Kylian Mbappé, for rape, after a visit by the Spanish Real Madrid star to Stockholm.
According to the Swedish newspaper “Aftonbladet”, the police were informed of an alleged rape without mentioning the name of the accused, before the newspaper “Expressen” revealed that Mbappé was the suspect. This was denied by the famous French player, who called the rumors “fake news”, while those close to Mbappé said they were unaware of a complaint filed against him.
The newspaper writes: “According to information obtained by Expressen, the police are investigating the star, who is suspected, based on reasonable suspicion, of having committed rape and sexual assault. »
Kylian Mbappé dined at a city center restaurant, according to Aftonbladet, before he and his friends left Sweden on Friday. The newspaper claims that a rape was committed “in downtown Stockholm”, citing an official complaint filed on Saturday with the police and examined by them.
He said the complaint was filed after the alleged victim sought medical attention, but her name was not mentioned in the accusation. Later, Expressen newspaper reported that Mbappé was the suspect.
