HIBAPRESS-RABAT-ONDE
The National Child Psycho-Trauma Emergency System, set up by the National Observatory for Children’s Rights (ONDE) to contribute to the protection of the mental health of children in times of natural or human disaster, has just been launched on the occasion of World Mental Health Day on October 10 with the signing of the first related conventions.
The launch of this new system comes in response to the Directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem, President of ONDE.
As part of this system, ONDE has established Child Psychotrauma Units (CPTE), which will be mobilized in the event of an emergency to provide psychological care for child victims of trauma.
The National Child Psycho-Trauma System (DNPTE) is based on three components:
-The psycho-trauma emergency of children following human or natural disasters
-Strengthening the capacities of professionals in contact with the child
-Prevention in child mental health
This unique system, designed to provide a rapid and structured response to children’s psychological emergencies, aims to respond to the most pressing needs of children affected by human or natural disasters.
