John Sinahon, representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), confirmed that the Kingdom of Morocco is making great efforts to strengthen food security and develop sustainable agriculture.
In this regard, the FAO representative explained, during the official ceremony celebrating the forty-fourth edition of World Food Day, that this day highlights the importance of allowing each individual to have access to a healthy, diversified, sustainable and affordable diet, which represents a fundamental human right.
The FAO representative praised Morocco’s efforts in this area, particularly through strategic initiatives such as the Green Morocco Plan and the Green Generation Initiative, which aim to strengthen food security and encourage more resilient agriculture.
