The Court of Appeal for Financial Crimes in Fez confirmed today, Wednesday October 23, the initial judgment pronounced against the former president of the Sefrou group of the Justice and Development Party and sentenced him to two years in prison in a case linked to “embezzlement and squandering of public funds”.
The former president of the Sefrou Collective Council was sentenced at the primary stage to two years in prison and a fine of 20,000 dirhams for embezzlement and squandering of public funds.
In the same case, the former vice-president of the Sefrou group, belonging to the Party of Progress and Socialism, was sentenced to one year in prison after being prosecuted for participation in the squandering of public funds.
The same court also handed down a 6-month prison sentence against an employee of the Sefrou group accused of forgery
