Moroccan actor Rachid El Ouali announced that he received the best actor title at the 5th edition of the Crystal Star Festival of the Moroccan cinema.
The actor shared a video of him on Instagram receiving the trophy from his colleague and president of the festival, Younes Lahri.
El Ouali said that he was not able to attend the event in Belgium because of the health restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I particularly thank Younes Lahri, president of the festival, and congratulations to Moroccan cinema,” he further stated in the video.
The actor received this award for his role in the film “The Tears of Satan” (2016), directed by Hicham El Jebbari.
