The dynamism of Moroccan cinema on the international scene is once again highlighted thanks in particular to the multiple films representing the Kingdom on several registers through so many global cinematographic events. This is evidenced by the selections at Cannes by Maryam Touzani in 2019 with “Adam”, and in 2022 with “Le Bleu du Caftan”, who walked away with the FIPRESCI prize and which was subsequently shortlisted for the Oscars and recorded more than 500,000 entries in the world, a record for a Moroccan film.

Even today, Morocco is present at the international performance of the famous top of world cinema in Cannes with “Everybody Loves Touda”, the next film by Nabil Ayouch, which is included in the official selection of the next edition of the Cannes festival, which will take place from May 14 to 25, 2024 where it will be screened in the “Cannes Première” category. This is the first time that Morocco has been selected in this category, reserved for big names in cinema.

Produced by Ali’n Productions (Morocco), in co-production with Les Films du Nouveau Monde (France), Velvet Films (Belgium), SnowGlobe (Denmark), Viking Film (Netherlands) and Staer (Norway), “Everybody Loves Touda » is sold abroad by MK2 International, and will be distributed in France in particular by Ad Vitam.
