Yesterday, Saturday, the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Madrid organized a traveling consulate in the city of Salamanca (western Spain), during which several consular services were provided to members of the Moroccan community residing in the region and its surroundings.
A press release from the consular representation specifies that this consular movement is part of the proximity policy pursued by the Moroccan Consulate in Madrid for the benefit of the Moroccan community, in accordance with the high instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and with the directives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans residing abroad.
This consular move, the first of its kind in this city which is one of the Spanish regions with a large population of Moroccan immigrants, saw an influx of a large number of members of the Moroccan community residing in the region and neighboring regions.
On this occasion, personal documents were handed over, such as biometric passports, electronic national identity cards and judicial certificates.
Assistance was also provided to community members on administrative, social and documentary matters.
This operation was welcomed and widely praised by all members of the Moroccan community, who expressed their immense happiness and great appreciation for this initiative, which spared them the trouble of traveling to Madrid and benefiting from these various consular services. , at a time when a large number of Moroccans are preparing to prepare for the summer vacation in the country.
This itinerant consulate, which was organized thanks to the mobilization of the collective fabric active in this region in particular, was the occasion during which Consul General Kamal Al-Arifi held a meeting with the members of these associations for inform of the measures put in place. by the ministry to provide local consular services to the Moroccan community abroad.
This consular trip also represented an opportunity to exchange ideas and identify the most important concerns of the Moroccan community in Salamanca and neighboring provinces, and to review the structural reforms undertaken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, of African Cooperation and Moroccans residing abroad with the aim of increasing the quality of consular services for the benefit of the Moroccan community, in accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, by simplifying administrative procedures, by adopting digitalization and the appointment system, as well as bringing the administration closer to the members of the state. the community.
The diplomatic official also highlighted the latest developments in the national cause, appreciating, in this context, the heroic positions of the Moroccan community which spares no effort to defend the national cause.
