A charter for the inclusion of people with disabilities was signed, Tuesday evening at the Noor Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation Hospital Center in Bouskoura, by the Moroccan Association of Disabled People (AMH), the Union of Communication Consulting Agencies (UACC) and the Groupement des Annonceurs du Maroc (GAM).
The said charter aims to encourage companies, institutions and individuals to actively commit to the inclusion of people with disabilities, by launching a vast awareness and mobilization campaign in Morocco.
This partnership also aims to raise public awareness of the daily reality of people with disabilities, to contribute to a change in mentalities, and to raise funds for concrete projects such as the extension of the Noor Hospital Center. This project, among other upcoming initiatives, aims to provide better access to care and promote the autonomy of people in situations of dependency.
As part of this partnership, the UACC and the GAM will put their know-how and resources at the service of national visibility. GAM members will mobilize their networks to offer advertising space, helping to raise awareness in society of the importance of inclusion. UACC agencies, for their part, will provide their expertise in designing impactful and engaging information campaigns, intended to inspire the public and encourage them to support this cause.
Speaking on this occasion, the president of the AMH, Amina Laraki, underlined the importance of this collective commitment: “This partnership embodies our vision of an inclusive society where everyone finds their place.” In collaboration with the UACC and the GAM, she added, “we carry a strong message of inclusion and solidarity, aiming to build a more united Morocco”.
She also noted that this partnership will make it possible to mobilize funds for the extension of the Noor Center, with the construction of a new building with nearly 70 beds for hospitalization.
Along the same lines, Mounia Chekouri, representative of the UACC, indicated that the Inclusion Charter represents much more than a simple commitment: “It is a call to action. Whether by raising awareness among our employees, our customers, or by raising funds for projects like the extension of the Noor Center, each of us has a role to play.”
She added that a creative hackathon in partnership with Lions Geek will be launched in the coming weeks, providing a unique opportunity to push the boundaries of creativity in service of the disability cause, by designing inspiring and impactful advertising campaigns.
For his part, the president of the GAM, Youssef Cheikhi, stressed that this partnership with the AMH is an opportunity for the GAM and its members to strengthen their societal role. “We are firmly committed to mobilizing our resources so that this initiative has a national impact and changes the perception of disability,” he said.
The agreement signed between the three partners is for an initial duration of one year, with tacit renewal, to anchor this awareness-raising and support action over the long term. With more than 30 years of experience, the AMH will ensure the implementation of funded projects, prioritizing long-lasting, quality solutions for beneficiaries.
This mobilization will culminate in December 2024 with a special broadcast on the 2M channel, aiming to raise awareness among a wide audience and mark a symbolic moment for this national campaign.
