A field monitoring campaign conducted today, Tuesday, in a neighborhood of the city of Kenitra, resulted in the seizure and destruction of over 160 kilograms of chicken unfit for consumption, after it was found inside a shop selling white meat under conditions that lacked health safety requirements.
A mixed committee participated in the operation, including local authorities, health services, and specialized security services, where inspections revealed the presence of chicken of unknown origin and random storage conditions that threatened the health of consumers.
The seized items were transported and destroyed in accordance with the applicable legal procedures, with a violation report being issued and the necessary legal and administrative measures taken against the person concerned.
The operation brought satisfaction to the citizens, who called for intensifying monitoring campaigns to protect health safety within the markets and points of sale of food products.
