A young woman in her twenties was killed in a horrific road accident on the highway linking Agadir to Marrakech early Friday morning in the Amsrud region.
According to informed sources, the accident occurred when the victim’s car collided with the rear of a truck loaded with goods, which was moving slowly on a dangerous slope, in order to avoid applying brake pressure due to heavy load.
The car suffered significant front-end damage and it is likely that the high speed at which it was traveling contributed to the accident.
The Royal Gendarmerie and local authorities rushed to the scene of the accident, where they supervised the transfer of the body of the deceased to the morgue of the Hassan II Regional Hospital Center in Agadir. They also organized traffic to ensure road safety.
