Russia, in the current state of things where the Federation no longer has sincere friends, finally turns to a friend closed in on himself but who is willing to serve as a backup for Vladimir Putin, in order to be able to tame as best he can. its real capabilities once a confrontation with the West arises

In this context, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed the defense agreement between his country and North Korea which authorizes reciprocal “immediate military assistance” in the event of an attack against one of the two Nations.

The agreement also commits the two states to cooperate at the international level to oppose Western sanctions, coordinate their positions at the United Nations and deepen their military cooperation.

The mutual defense agreement was reached during Vladimir Putin’s June visit to Pyongyang.

The Upper House of the Russian Parliament ratified the text on November 8 which still had to be signed by President Vladmir Putin before it came into force, which has now been done.
