The Bouregreg Valley Development Agency announced the launch of a new project to build a multi-use indoor sports hall “Omnisports”, at a cost of approximately 245 million dirhams. This project adds to the number of indoor sports halls available in the cities of Rabat and Salé.
The new room will be the fourth of its kind in Rabat, after the rooms of Moulay Abdullah, Ibn Yassine and Ibn Rushd, but it will stand out for its large capacity and modern geometric design, in addition to its unique interior character.
The project specifications were structured around four main elements, namely: reinforced concrete, the metal structure, the modern exterior cladding and the false ceilings.
The project is located on the edge of the Bouregreg valley, near the Mohammed VI Theater, and is part of the development of the region which sees the launch of major projects such as the Mohammed VI Tower and a cornice extending between the south of Salé and the north of Rabat.
In view of these major developments, it appears that Morocco’s ambitions to compete for the hosting of the Olympic Games in the future require that Rabat strengthen its sporting position by creating 4 stadiums meeting international standards, including one equipped with a sports arena. athletics, as well as 4 indoor halls, in addition to other facilities such as a Dar es Salaam area, which hosts horse racing and golf events.
