Al Bayda and Jorf Lasfar ports prepare to install new solar power plants

Heba Press – Casablanca

The Moroccan company “Ingtelma” has won a contract for the supply, installation and operation of photovoltaic solar power plants in the ports of Casablanca and Jorf Lasfar. This success comes after achieving a similar feat last July.

According to the contract proposed by the National Ports Agency (ANP), the company will receive an amount exceeding 17.4 million dirhams.

The company concluded a previous agreement in July worth around 18 million dirhams to provide the ports of Agadir, Boujdour and Laayoune with similar solar energy stations with installation and operation.

As part of its strategy to improve energy efficiency, the National Ports Agency aims to provide Morocco’s main ports with modern solar stations.

These stations help provide clean electrical energy to medium voltage networks connected to power transformers, which strengthens environmental sustainability and improves port infrastructure management.
