Work has started on the first phase of the “Arena Fez” project, which aims to create a multi-purpose indoor sports hall within the Fez sports complex, with a capacity of up to 4,000 seats.
A budget estimated at around 42 million dirhams was allocated to this project for the first phase, with the completion time set at 18 months.
The “Arena” hall will host numerous sporting activities, including indoor football (futsal), basketball, handball and combat sports matches.
This project is part of an overall development plan for the Fez Stadium, which aims to introduce technical and structural improvements meeting various requirements, with a view to hosting the African Cup of Nations competitions. 2025.
