The Confederation of African Football (CAF) published an official statement yesterday evening, Sunday, concerning the cancellation of the match between the Renaissance Berkane club and the Union Sportive de la Médina d’Algiers.

In its statement, CAF said: “The first leg of the semi-finals of the African Football Confederation Cup, TotalEnergies, between the Union Sportive de Médina d’Algiers and the Renaissance Berkane club of Morocco, which was to to take place on Sunday April 21, 2024 in Algiers, did not take place as planned. »

CAF added: “The matter will be referred to the relevant authorities… We apologize for any inconvenience caused to our sponsors, television partners and supporters.
