“Marca”, the Spanish newspaper: Ibrahim Diaz chooses to play permanently for the Moroccan national team.

The Spanish sports newspaper stressed that Diaz’s decision was carefully considered and there is no turning back. He is expected to be called up by the Moroccan national team for friendlies this month against Angola (March 22) and Mauritania (March 26).

Marca added: “It’s unfortunate for Spain to lose Ibrahim. It is not because of the intention of the young man, who waited until the last minute in his country of origin where he finally decided to play with Morocco, which has followed him for many years, notably since the 2018 World Cup in Russia… Morocco did its best with Ibrahim, which Spain did not do.”
