Good news for young people: Creation of the Regional League of Electronic Games Rabat-Salé-Kénitra

On Monday, May 6, 2024, the seminar room of a Palace in Salé hosted the creation of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Regional League of Electronic Games, under the banner of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Electronic Games.

The ceremony took place in the presence of a distinguished audience, including Mr. Hicham El Khlifi, president of the FRMJE, as well as representatives of various sports organizations and young people in the Region.

During this meeting, the creation of the Regional League of Electronic Games of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra was unanimously approved, as well as the establishment of the Steering Committee of the League, where Mr. Omar El Khiari was elected President of the League.

The creation of this league aims to disseminate and promote the culture of e-gaming in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, to develop the skills of young people in this area and to organize tournaments and e-sports events, in as part of the FRMJE’s efforts to ensure the generalization of this sport across the Kingdom.

On this occasion, Mr. Omar Khiari, President of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Regional eSports League, underlined the determination of the League to work diligently and actively to achieve the objectives assigned to it, to contribute to the formation of new generations of champions in the field of eSports, and raise this field to the highest level.

In conclusion, Mr. El-Khiari thanked the FRMJE for its continued support and expressed his hope that this initiative will inspire other Regions in the Kingdom to establish their own Regional Leagues, in order to serve as a nucleus for the development of e-sports in Morocco and raise them to the level of professionalism.
