The Royal Army achieved a difficult victory over its guest, Al-Hassani al-Jadida, with a score of 1-0, in the postponed match of the 18th round of the professional championship section, on Sunday evening.
The confrontation took place on the ground of the “Municipal Stadium” in Quneitra, where both teams suffered to reach the net amid the lack of real opportunities. Further defensive problems increased after Marwan Al Mazrawi was sent off in the 68th minute.
The military team waited until the last moments to resolve the meeting, as Joel Pia scored the deadly goal in the 90th minute.
With this victory, the Royal Army climbed to third place with 34 points, while Al-Hassani’s new shaky defense was frozen at 23 points in tenth place.
