Heba Press – Muhammad Zaruh
The ambiguity surrounding the date of the start of construction work on the new Nador stadium and its official location raises many questions in sports circles and between the population of the region, in particular with the absence of decisive official clarification. The controversy increased the issuance of communication related to the project without an official ring, which led some to question its seriousness and its fate.
The inhabitants of Nador have had good news in announcing the project, which is within the framework of the strengthening of sports infrastructure in the region, where the stadium should extend over an area of 20 hectares, with a capacity of 20,000 spectators, at an estimated cost of 500 million dirhams. It is supposed to stand at the entrance to the city, to be a sporting building worthy of the aspirations of the masses and athletes.
However, the absence of clear developments concerning the start of the work or even an official confirmation on the specified location for the stadium, has raised fears that the project will undergo the fate of many previous promises which have not seen the light. After the initial announcement, no detailed data was issued on the stages of implementation, which increased doubts between subscribers.
In the light of this fog, sports circles pose questions about the extent of civil servants responsible for carrying out this project, especially since Nador suffers from the absence of a stage with modern standards, which for years has been an obstacle to the development of football in the region. In addition, the delay in implementation can affect the reputation of honorable organizations and the dissatisfaction of fans.
For its part, sports and mass activities require official clarification of managers, whether it be the employment of Nador or the project supervising the organizations, on the fate of this sports building. It also requires a clear calendar for the launch of the work, in order to avoid any delay which could return the project to the field “unsuccessful promises”.
The question remains: Will this excellent sporting commitment be completed, or will the Nador stadium project join the list of postponed projects that have been just ink on paper?
