The Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency, reporting to the Al Quds Committee chaired by King Mohammed VI, launched its 2024-2027 digital strategy on Monday in Casablanca, in the presence of start-ups from Al Quds and men Palestinian businessmen.

This strategy, initiated under the theme: “Digital development in the service of economic and social development in Al Quds”, crowns the process of digitalization of the Agency’s administration.

It also supports the Agency’s efforts to update and develop its digital system in order to support the digital transition, which offers great opportunities for young people to acquire the skills required to launch income-generating projects.

On this occasion, the Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency announced the launch of the startup incubator project in the field of innovation (BMAQ Innovation HUB), for the benefit of young people in Al-Quds.

Speaking on this occasion, the director in charge of the management of the Bayt Mal Al Quds Acharif Agency, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, underlined that “accelerated digitalization and the speed of technological transition pose considerable challenges to start-ups in search of growth, stability and sustainability. However, they also offer immense opportunities for young people to assert themselves in a changing world.”

This is why the Agency, continued Mr. Cherkaoui, had to embark on this path, offering young people in Al Quds the opportunity to strengthen their adaptation capacities and continue their path in the fields of innovation and creativity.

He assured that it is not only young project leaders who benefit from the Agency’s digital strategy, developed in consultation with institutional partners and Moroccan and Palestinian experts, and hosted in the offices of “BMAQ Plus” in Casablanca, noting that this initiative also concerns all categories and segments of Palestinian society in Al Quds.

For his part, Ihab Nasser-Eddine, head of the delegation of Palestinian businessmen, welcomed “the exceptional opportunity that the Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency offered us to participate in the launch of its digital strategy for the next three years”, noting that this initiative is part of the support for Al Quds and the achievement of sustainable development in vital sectors.

“I would like to emphasize that the Agency welcomes young Palestinians, pioneers of the digital economy. It will support the launch of their projects, by offering them financial support and specialized training,” recalled Mr. Nasser-Eddine, expressing his “great gratitude” to HM the King, President of the Al-Quds Committee, for His personal supervision of the Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency, as well as for His generous efforts in favor of Al Quds, the support of its inhabitants and the defense of the Palestinian cause in all international events.

Note that on this occasion, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency and the National School of Commerce and Management (ENCG) of Casablanca signed an annex to the partnership agreement relating to the “BMAQ” startup incubator Innovation HUB”. Funding agreements for the grant intended for project leaders and young Palestinian start-ups were also signed, within the framework of the same program.

As part of the same event, the Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency recalled that it is participating, for the second consecutive year, in the GITEX Africa exhibition, which begins Wednesday in Marrakech, indicating that it intends to hold a stand there to present Palestinian businesses that benefit from the startup incubator.

Present during this ceremony were the general director of the Islamic Center for the Development of Trade, under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Latifa El Bouabdellaoui, the director of the ENCG of Casablanca, Ismaïl Kabbaj, a representative of the Palestinian Embassy in Rabat, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom of Morocco, among others.
