Spanish Carlos Alcaraz wins US Open

Spanish Carlos Alcaraz on Sunday defeated Casper Ruud to win the US Open.
Alcaraz has become the youngest No. 1 in the history of the Association of Tennis Professionals.
The 19-year-old player beat Norway’s Ruud 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-1), 6-3 in a match that took over three hours.
“This is something I’ve dreamt of since I was a kid. To be No. 1 in the world, to be a champion,” Alcaraz said after the win.
