Nasser Bourita: “What is happening in Gaza cannot be accepted or tolerated”

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bourita, affirmed today in Beijing that the Palestinian question is going through a critical period due to the Israeli aggression against Gaza, which thousands of victims among civilians, stressing that His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President of the Al-Quds Committee, has repeatedly called for collective action to immediately end the shooting and ensure the provision of aid, also rejecting the forced displacement of Palestinians.
Bourita declared during the tenth session of the ministerial meeting of the Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum in Beijing that “based on the commitment of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to peace, as president of the Al -Quds, and alongside humanitarian support, His Majesty called for collective action, from his place, for an immediate, complete and lasting stop to the shooting, and to ensure the smooth and adequate provision of humanitarian aid to the population of Gaza, and rejection of the forced displacement of Palestinians.”
The minister added that what is happening in Gaza, in addition to its catastrophic humanitarian repercussions, constitutes a real threat to regional security and stability.
In this context, he stressed that “what is happening in Gaza cannot be accepted or tolerated. The failure of the international community comes at a high cost.” This failure, said Mr. Bourita, “allowed the Israeli army to bomb an overcrowded camp of more than 100,000 displaced Palestinians near the town of Rafah, causing dozens of civilian deaths and injuries, in violation flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
The incapacity of the international community has also led to international law being ignored, as highlighted by His Majesty the King.
Bourita stressed that “the indolence of the international community encouraged the Israeli authorities not to comply with the decision of the International Court of Justice, which called on Israel to immediately end its military operations in Rafah.”
In this context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that China, due to its weight in the international order, its balanced policy and its support for various Arab issues, is a reliable partner capable of playing a constructive role for help achieve a fair settlement of the Palestinian question, in accordance with the two-State solution.
The minister did not fail to highly welcome the important step taken recently by certain European countries in recognizing the State of Palestine, considering this as an important step on the path to the two-state solution as an inevitable framework for peace. permanent and comprehensive by establishing a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders and its capital in East Jerusalem.
