Hajj 1445: Saudi Arabia warns of above-normal temperatures

Saudi authorities announced on Tuesday that temperatures forecast during the 1445 Hajj season are expected to be above the seasonal normal.

At a press conference, Director of the National Meteorological Center, Ayman Bin Salem Ghulam said that the average temperatures forecast during the current Hajj season are expected to increase by one and a half to two degrees compared to the average at Mecca and Medina.

Mr. Ghulam also stressed that temperatures will oscillate between 44 and 48 degrees with humidity which could reach 25% and precipitation rates close to zero.
