Tennis: Swiatek titled for the fourth time at Roland-Garros

The Polish Iga Swiatek won, for the fourth time in her career, the Roland-Garros tournament, beating the surprise guest of this final, the Italian Jasmine Paolini.

Swiatek won in just 1 hour and 8 minutes with a score of 6-2, 6-1.

Paolini had however broken first in the match, taking the service of the world N1 to lead 2 to 1 in the first set. She then lost the next 10 games, putting the Pole in a more than comfortable position to win this title.

This is the fifth Grand Slam title for the 23-year-old Pole, 4 at Roland-Garros and 1 at the US Open.

Paolini, after her excellent tournament, will enter the top 10 of the WTA rankings where she will be ranked seventh.
