In an official response to the criticisms that affected the quality of the Mohammed V boat, in particular after the friendly match which brought together Wydad Sports in the Spanish team, Karim El -Kayyibi, member of the command and monitoring transitional committee, confirmed that the current state of the soil goes through a natural transition phase between two types of grass.
He explained that the ground is covered with a hybrid natural herb which combines adaptive “ray herb” to the cold and “baroda” atmosphere which corresponds to the warm weather, noting that this stage of transition sometimes causes certain gaps and insecurity in certain areas, which is expected in such climatic conditions.
Al -Kulibi said that the boat was subject to several specific and long -term technical reforms, and that what is happening today is within the framework of the seasonal grass growth cycle. He added that the management of the boat had taken the necessary measures to face this stage thanks to maintenance operations which carried out on May 13 and 20, which will greatly help to improve the soil level and its homogeneity in the coming weeks.
Al -klaybi stressed that the main objective is to achieve the highest quality standards in preparation for future rights, the most important of which is the matches of the African Nations Cup, stressing that work continues to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for players and fans, and to maintain the image of the boat as one of the most important sports facilities in the kingdom.
