Heba Press – Muhammad Zaruh
The region of Bani Ansar, located in the city of Al-Baddi, near Melilla occupied today on Saturday May 31, experienced a continuous interruption of water and electricity services, which caused great dissatisfaction between the population, which suffered for several hours without providing these basic services.
Residents of the region stressed that the interruption directly affected their daily lives, adding that the lack of water and electricity exacerbates their suffering, in particular in the light of high temperatures, which made the conditions very difficult for families and the elderly.
Residents called on the authorities concerned to intervene quickly to fight against the crisis and restore services as soon as possible, stressing that such repeated interruptions negatively affect the quality of their lives and harm their right to decent living conditions.
This interruption of water and electricity is a clear indication of the fragility of infrastructure in Bani Ansar, and calls for the need to review policies and interventions to improve basic services in border areas.
