Heba Press – Muhammad Zaruh
In a strange incident, a sardine hunting boat that was heading in the port of Agadir disappeared to suddenly appear in the port of “Los Marmelis” on the Spanish island of “Lanzarott”, where the crew of 14 people demanded human asylum.
This mysterious accident raised many questions about his situation, especially after the crew members seized the boat in a brain.
According to sources, the boat left the port of Agadir after being seized by the mechanic, three guards and seas, then joined nine others, including a minor.
It is interesting to note that the crew has been trapped in two narrow rooms which can only accommodate eight people, which made the conditions of the unauthorized trip more difficult, until they reach the Spanish port of Los Marmelis.
When the boat arrived at the Spanish port, local police intervened and took the necessary legal measures.
Although the accident is the first of its kind in the history of the port, preliminary investigations have shown that the boat was not only an ordinary hunting incident, but it was rather used in a suspicious activity, which prompted the Spanish authorities to open in -depth investigations.
After submitting an official complaint of the persons involved in the accident, the Moroccan authorities began their investigations in coordination with their Spanish counterpart.
The first journals of the follow -up system showed that the last sign of the boat was at seven o’clock in the evening last Sunday, before the follow -up system was suddenly disabled, which increased speculation about the intention of covering the path of the boat.
Initial surveys have shown that the crew can be involved in illegal activities during the trip, especially since the contact of one of the suspects was not able.
This question raised the possibilities concerning the participation of the boat in smuggling or illegal activity, which was supported by Spanish press reports which confirmed these doubts.
This incident occurs at a time when the fishing sector suffers from many challenges, which improves fears of suspicious behavior in coastal fishing boats.
In this context, people interested in maritime affairs stressed the importance of strengthening maritime control to ensure the protection of maritime security and national sovereignty.
