Saudi Arabia: Digital technologies at the service of pilgrims

The Institute of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Research on Hajj and Umrah highlighted the positive impact of its studies based on digital technologies for the development of services provided to pilgrims.
The Institute under the Saudi Umm Al-Qura University said it had carried out numerous studies that had a significant impact on the development of services provided to pilgrims, such as the frequency transmission project in holy places and the Kingdom project of Saudi Arabia for the exploitation of sacrifices.
Quoted by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the dean of the Institute, Dr. Adnan bin Yahya Al-Shahrani, affirmed that the institute also participated in the design of the Jamarat installation, commensurate with the level of satisfaction of pilgrims with the services provided during the Hajj, and the training of workers to serve pilgrims, through the training platform of the “Wafada” institute.
The Institute also used digital technologies to promote the efficiency of the spatial distribution of facilities in Mecca and the holy places, develop the system of Hajj, Umrah and visits, and support the official decision of officials and entities working on Hajj and Umrah with data, information, research and studies capable of realizing the visions of the Institute, for integrated planning and mobilization, organized and distinguished services, a safe environment , premium services, comfortable transportation and easy rituals.
