HIBAPRESS – Fes
In a qualitative security operation, security services in the city of Fes raided, on the evening of Saturday, September 27th, one of the most famous massage parlors in the Hay Al-Khail stadium, known as "Chantcours," after receiving accurate information indicating suspicions regarding the way this establishment operates.
According to informed sources, the operation resulted in the arrest of the owner of the establishment, who is suspected of exploiting a number of girls working inside the salon in inhumane conditions, in exchange for meager wages that do not meet the minimum wage. The same sources confirmed that the working girls, most of whom are divorced and bear the responsibility of supporting their children, were working in a harsh environment exceeding ten working hours a day, without respect for the provisions of the Labor Code or ensuring professional dignity, which makes their conditions closer to "modern slavery," as described by some sources. The data added that the initial investigations revealed serious legal violations related to professional exploitation and illegal mediation in work, which are acts punishable by the Moroccan Penal Code. The owner of the establishment was questioned in an official record, pending the appearance of his wife who shares in the management, before taking the appropriate legal measures. This security operation highlights the local authorities' keenness to monitor this type of activity, which may be taken as a cover for illegal practices, especially those that affect the dignity of women or exploit their social vulnerability.
