The Moroccan national team qualified for less than 20 years at the African Nations Cup currently organized in Egypt, as well as a seat in the next World Cup finals which will be held in Chilean, after their difficult and exciting victory on the Sierra Leone, Monday evening, in the quarterfinals.
The match, which was organized by the Air Defense Stadium, witnessed a large club between the two parties, while the original time ended with negative equality (0-0), despite the clear control of the Moroccan national team during the game.
The match was accompanied by controversial moments, in particular the demand of the Moroccan national team for a clear penalty kick, after the laughter was abandoned by the goalkeeper of Sierra Leone inside the penalty area. Despite the Cameroonian referee using the “mouse” technique, everyone surprised the lack of stroke of the kick, which caused the dissatisfaction of technical staff and Moroccan fans.
A few minutes before the end of the legal time, the Sierra Leone received a painful blow after one of its players was expelled due to its intention to touch the ball in hand and prevent the opportunity to mark in favor of the “atlas cubs”.
In the second additional half, and after intense offensive pressure from national elements, Bumououdi alternative managed to mark the crucial winning goal, just a few minutes before resorting to penalty shootings, to give Morocco the transit card in place of gold and early qualification for the Chilean World Cup.
The Moroccan national team continued their career in the championship, under the direction of the national coach, Wehbe.
