Algerian journalist and political activist Walid Kabir, residing in the Kingdom of Morocco, announced on Thursday that he is taking several steps to cut off attempts by the military regime in his country to exploit the demonstrations taking place in Morocco.
Kabir said in a statement published on his social media page that he decided to block the "Oualid KEBIR" page temporarily and completely from access from within Algeria, to cut off the path for electronic flies and enemy disinformation tools." Kabir also decided to "suspend the comments feature temporarily on the Oualid kebir page, to protect my media platform from any intrusion or malicious exploitation, and to fortify my position supporting Morocco against systematic disinformation campaigns." The Algerian journalist called on all Moroccan pages, beacons, and websites to "take the same step, blocking the outlets in front of Morocco's adversaries and nullifying their miserable efforts to destabilize." Kabir renewed his absolute solidarity with "the legitimate demands of Moroccan youth," stressing that "the miserable attempts of the Algerian regime will not diminish the determination of this noble people nor the unity of this good land," adding: "May God protect the Kingdom of Morocco and its free people, and nullify the plots of the hateful and conspirators. And on the aggressor, the circles turn." Kabir explained that his decision came after "the proven involvement of the Algerian military regime in vile schemes targeting the security and stability of the Kingdom of Morocco, by spreading rumors and incitement through hired electronic armies belonging to the ruling military gang in Algeria, and exploiting peaceful demonstrations in which Moroccan youth raised legitimate demands."
