HIBAPRESS
As usual, the military regime in Algeria found no weapon other than arrests to confront the wave of desperate youth trying to escape the hell of the state of the generals, imposed by Saïd Chengriha, the de facto ruler of the country, on millions of the oppressed amidst news of calls for protests from the Algerian youth group "genz213" today, Friday, in a number of Algerian cities and states.
In this context, Algerian media reported that the research and investigation unit of the Algerian gendarmerie in Ain Temouchent announced the dismantling of what it described as an "organized criminal network" consisting of six smuggling networks, under the pretext of organizing illegal immigration trips across the sea to Europe. According to the official narrative, the operation resulted in the arrest of 23 people, aged between 17 and 53, including a minor, 16 organizers, and 14 people who had previously faced cases before the judiciary, in addition to another person wanted by justice. Four tourist cars and a boat equipped with a "Yamaha" engine with a power of 90 horsepower were also seized, in addition to another engine of the "Marcury" type, 22 mobile phones, and seven gasoline sheets with a total capacity of 70 liters, as well as a sum of 250 euros and 500,000 Algerian dinars. As usual, the Public Prosecution moved quickly to direct ready-made accusations against the detainees, related to leaving the national territory illegally, endangering the life of a minor, and the "crime" of smuggling immigrants, in an attempt to provide legal cover for the policy of repression that knows nothing but chasing those fleeing a tragic reality created by the authorities of the Algerian military regime.
