Barcelona witnessed massive demonstrations yesterday and this evening in support of the Palestinian people, as thousands took to the streets, raising Palestinian flags and chanting slogans calling for freedom and an end to the attacks.
The march started from Catalonia Square and expanded to include major streets in the city, while the protesters closed all entrances to the roads leading to Barcelona, causing a near-complete traffic paralysis inside and around the city. The participants confirmed that their move came as a humanitarian message of solidarity with Palestine, stressing the need for the international community to act urgently to end the ongoing escalation. Human rights organizations and civil societies participated alongside activists of various ages, while security forces spread extensively to monitor the situation and maintain the peacefulness of the demonstration.
